Dog friendly
Are you a dog owner and a camper? We British have a very special relationship with our pets, our dogs are most definitely part of the family and it’s only natural that we should want to spend our holiday with our best friends. Here at the Red Shoot Camping Park we welcome well behaved dogs, so you don’t have to leave your four legged friend in expensive kennels and spend your time wondering how he is. Bring him along so he can enjoy the wonderful walks in the New Forest, paddle in the streams with the children and in the evenings, hang out with the family and steal the odd sausage off the BBQ if he’s lucky!

With direct access on to the forest we don’t even need a dog walking area; there is 96,000 acres just outside our gate for you and Fido to explore. We have rings outside our shop to tie him to whilst you browse our selection of dog-related goodies including pet towels, dog toys, food bowls, leads, tie out stakes, treats and food. If he gets muddy there is access to a hose to clean him off before he makes himself at home in your tent, caravan or motorhome. The Red Shoot Inn, next door to us, is a dog-friendly pub where you will even find dog biscuits on the bar and water bowls in the beer garden. All in all a canine paradise! If you do find however, that you’d like to visit an attraction or event whilst staying here that isn’t suitable for your dog, you could contact Sophies Pet Care who provide reliable and professional ‘dog’s day out’!

Obviously there are a few requests where your dog is concerned which go without saying but to ensure that both dogs and humans have the best holiday possible, here they are below:
- Please keep your pooch on a lead at all times – yours may be friendly but some don’t have such great manners so we find that one rule for all works best
- Don’t allow him to foul on the site and if he does have a little accident, please clean it up
- Don’t leave him alone in your tent, caravan or motorhome, he might cry or howl or even escape and all these things will disturb other campers
So, bring your dog along with you so that he too can enjoy our beautiful New Forest National Park!
