Red Shoot Inn
Fancy a wee drink when you’re on holiday? Many of us do and the Red Shoot Inn, a Wadworth Brewery pub, is right on our doorstep. Welcoming dogs and children, it’s also not uncommon to see a horse or two tethered to the railings outside whilst the thirsty riders quaff a restorative pint before trotting on their way.
Inside and tucked away behind the large wooden bar is the pub’s own microbrewery from which you can sample the likes of Tom’s Tipple and Forest Gold and there’s home cooked pub grub for the days when you’re getting bored of the BBQ or the weather isn’t conducive to al fresco eating. In the cooler months a log fire crackles and natural light floods in through large sash windows, through which you can watch the wild ponies ambling by.
If you like a boogie, there’s a live band every Sunday night and three beer festivals a year. This year they are on 30th March – 2nd April, 29th June – 1st July and 28th – 30th September. These fun family events are popular with visitors and locals alike – but don’t wait to book, they’re busy weekends and many book in with us months in advance. Click here to find out ‘how to book’.
