Red Shoot Inn
Fancy a wee drink when you’re on holiday? Our neighbours run The Red Shoot Inn, a Wadworth Brewery pub, and it’s right on our doorstep! They welcome dogs and children and it’s not uncommon to see a horse or two tethered to the railings outside whilst the thirsty riders quaff a restorative pint before trotting on their way. Remember to check their opening times and book if you plan to eat there.
Inside and tucked away behind the large wooden bar is the pub’s own microbrewery from which you can sample the likes of Tom’s Tipple and Forest Gold and there’s home cooked pub grub for the days when you’re getting bored of the BBQ or the weather isn’t conducive to al fresco eating. In the cooler months a log fire crackles and natural light floods in through large sash windows, through which you can watch the wild ponies ambling by.
If you like a boogie, there’s often live music and three beer festivals a year. Sadly, for 2021, the April and June beer festivals have been cancelled but The Red Shoot Inn are very much hoping to run one on 24th – 25th September. These fun family events are popular with visitors and locals alike – but don’t wait to book, they’re busy weekends and many book in with us months in advance. Click here to find out ‘how to book’.
