As you will be aware, the situation regarding Coronavirus is worrying, uncertain and fast changing.
It is with a heavy heart that we regret to advise of the closure of The Red Shoot Camping Park with immediate effect as per the advice from the Government. These are unprecedented times and, along with everyone else, we cannot predict what will happen next. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but the people of our country and the local community and, as a result, we are having to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few weeks ago.
If you have already made a booking with us to arrive before 22nd May 2020, you should receive an email from us very soon.
If you have requested a refund, please be reassured we have not forgotten you and are worrying as much about the situation as you are. In simple terms, at the moment, we do not have the funds to make any refunds. Our expenses at the beginning of the season are always high and are usually recovered during the course of the season. We are and always have been, diligent and responsible in taking all necessary precautions and insurances to cover us in the event of any ‘normal’ difficulty – our current circumstances are, of course, ones we could not have anticipated any more than you could.
We have been very busy investigating all avenues in our own policies and routes for assistance in terms of Government grants and loans, we believe we may be eligible for help in this way and are awaiting confirmation of this. As soon as we know where we stand, we will get straight back to you, but you will understand that all bodies are working flat out to try to save businesses such as ours from insolvency, so we do not expect clarification until the end of the month or early May.
In the meantime, we realise you will most likely have already done so, but, if not, please do check with any insurance you may have personally in respect of travel cover or card protection and – if you are able to reconsider and accept our offer of credit, this would be a valuable contribution towards protecting many livelihoods, our business and the interests of all our customers.
If you have any questions or concerns you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Please be assured, we will do all we can to be ready to resume business as soon as this crisis passes and we very much hope to be able to welcome you soon.
