Terms and conditions
We don’t like this bit any more than you do, but have found it’s necessary to ensure we are all happy! Please read it carefully.
Admission to the Park implies a commitment to uphold the rules of the Park which set out general standards of conduct and behaviour required. Any person in breach of these rules may be asked to leave the Park with no refund. The management is entitled to refuse admission if deemed necessary even when a prior booking has been made. We do our best to ensure that all our campers are able to enjoy their time with us with the best conditions we can offer. With this in mind, we reserve the right to alter your pitch allocation before your arrival without notification. We may also not allow you to stay on the Park if your accommodation differs from the specification you reserved. Please check your confirmation carefully to ensure you have given the correct information.
Season: 1st March – 31st October
Bookings: We reserve the right to refuse any booking. Booking requests can be placed on our online enquiry and availability portal Please note however, that you will not be making a confirmed booking at this stage and no money will be deducted from your card. After entering your card details you will be directed to a screen which appears to confirm your booking but this is not the case. We need to check and authorise your request and once this is done you will receive an email confirming your booking. Group bookings cannot be made online, you must call us on 01425 473789 for any group bookings.
If you make a booking, a contract exists between you and The Red Shoot Camping Park as soon as we have issued our confirmation and payment has been taken (including any deposit). You should check this carefully to see that it reflects your wishes.
Minimum advanced booking – 2 nights unless otherwise stated or by prior arrangement. Management may, at their discretion and subject to availability, allow single night bookings.
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNIT SIZE RESTRICTIONS APPLY. FOR TENTS WE WILL NEED THE MAKE AND MODEL (WE CAN FIND THE DIMENSIONS FROM THIS INFORMATION). IF YOU HAVE A CARAVAN OR MOTORHOME, PLEASE GIVE THE LENGTH AND AWNING DIMENSIONS WHEN YOU BOOK. Tents larger than 6m x 4m are strictly by prior arrangement only. We reserve the right to require you to remove sections or to leave the Camping Park if you exceed the dimensions agreed at the time of booking without prior agreement.
Cancellation and refund policy: If you cancel your booking no later than 28 days before the arrival date, all monies will be refunded less the deposit. If less than 28 days’ notice is given to cancel or postpone your booking, no refund will be made. Should you wish to change the dates of your booking, you may do so up to 2 weeks before your arrival to another later date within the same season. We are unable to alter booking dates with less than 2 weeks’ notice and we cannot transfer your booking into a later season. If you wish to change your dates within 28 days of arrival, this will be classed as a postponed booking and a cancellation of this booking will not be eligible for a refund. As you are making a contract with us as outlined in these terms, your booking also may not be transferred to another party or individual.
Insurance: You are strongly advised to have travel insurance in place to protect your payment against unexpected illness or other reasons to cancel, as we do not accept responsibility for you being unable to use your reservation. If you would like a quote for specialist UK travel insurance, please follow this link to the Compass website for further information.

Departures: Please leave by 1.00pm – failure to do so will incur a further night’s charge. No refunds are given for early departure.

Damage disclaimer: We do our best to provide a safe environment for your camping experience but we accommodate people from all walks of life and in all conditions and have no control over these factors. In this respect, we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred to your property (tents, cars, caravans, camping equipment etc.), howsoever this arises. We are also not responsible for issues arising from the ground surface (it is your responsibility to check the ground before pitching), trees, the animals and birds in the forest, or forces of nature such as weather, storms, rain, ice etc.
