AA Covid-19 confident

Our highest priority is the safety of our guests and staff.  The move to Step 4 of the road map on the 19th July does not mark the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and with that in mind, as a business, we will be taking a cautious and measured approach to the easing of restrictions. The information below is vital to keeping us all safe and open, you must read it in its entirety and confirm on arrival that you have done so.

COVID secure pre-arrival information for camping

The information below is vital to keeping us all safe and open, you must read it in its entirety and confirm on arrival that you have done so.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME

Check that all members of your party are COVID-symptom free – if any of you have a new, dry, persistent cough, a high temperature or loss/change of sense of smell/taste please stay at home and contact NHS Test and Trace on 119 to order a test.

Whilst an enhanced cleaning procedure is in place based on Government and industry guidelines, as our shower/toilet facilities are communal, you may like to think about bringing your own disinfectant and disposable cloths, hand soap, disposable gloves and a washing up bowl.

Don’t forget your hand sanitiser and face mask!

ON ARRIVAL

Please pull up outside reception and remain in your vehicle. A member of our team will come to greet you.

Before we check you in, we will need your confirmation that all members of your party are COVID-symptom free.

DURING YOUR STAY

Visitors are now permitted on site but must register at reception before entry.

Whilst social distancing rules have now been lifted we would still urge you to stay at least 2m away from anyone not from your own household.

It is essential you follow the pitching instructions. Please respect the separation between units. Use the paths and do not cross other campers’ pitches to access facilities etc.

Follow Government guidelines on hygiene routines, wash hands for 20 seconds regularly or use hand sanitiser if you can’t wash your hands. Don’t touch your face.

Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance to all communal buildings, please use it on entry and exit.

Please use your own onboard facilities (shower and toilet) if you have them to reduce risk to our team and other campers.

There is a pedestrian give-way system in place around the facility block and a one-way system at shop/reception, clearly marked to facilitate social distancing.

Please wear a face covering where possible in the shower/toilet facilities. Remember that there is only one way in /out, therefore, you will need to exercise care to keep your distance when entering or leaving and we have notices instructing you to give way.

Please don’t queue for the shower/toilet facilities, come back later at a quieter time.

Use the anti-viral spray provided to clean your shower cubical before and after use.  Just spray and go, no wiping is needed.

Keep showers brief, don’t spend any more time in the facility block than absolutely necessary and keep your personal items with you at all times.

Our shop is open.  Whilst no longer a legal requirement, we ask that you wear a face covering in our shop.

The play area is open and there is hand sanitiser available to be used on entry. The opening times are 8am – 8pm (it will be locked overnight). At the end of each day we sanitise the high touch surfaces as per Government guidelines.

If you or a member of your party develop symptoms of a new, dry, continuous cough, high temperature or loss/change in smell/taste, you must not use the facilities. The whole party should pack up and leave the site as soon as possible (informing reception on departure), return to your own home and follow Government guidelines on self-isolation and Test and Trace procedures by calling 119 or on the NHS website.

ON DEPARTURE

Please confirm with reception on departure that everyone in your party has remained symptom-free during your stay with us.

WHAT ELSE ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE?

A full COVID risk assessment has been carried out in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and appropriate policies and procedures are in place.

We have removed pitches in order to reduce our capacity. This is to maximise spacing, enable optimal social distancing and minimise any pressure on our facilities.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel your booking 28 days or more before the arrival date, all monies will be refunded less the deposit. If less than 28 days’ notice is given, no refund will be made. Should you need to change the dates of your booking, you may do so up to 2 weeks before your arrival to another date within the same season. We are unable to alter booking dates with less than 2 weeks’ notice.

The only exceptions to this statement are as explained below in respect of our legal obligation to abide by Government rulings such as those necessitated by the COVID pandemic.

COVID / Pandemic exceptions to our cancellation policy

The following clause explains when you, or we, may cancel or agree to postpone your holiday due to Government restrictions relating to the COVID pandemic or other such national or international emergencies.

Please understand that, as a small business, refunding monies paid can cripple us, so with that in mind we always prefer that you postpone your visit and carry forward any payments made.  However, where the law gives you the right to cancel, we accept this. The rights in this clause are additional to any other rights either of us may have in our terms and conditions. We promise to do all we can to keep all our customers safe. We ask you not to book if the law prevents you visiting or staying with us, or if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us even if the law still allows you to. As far as we are able to check this at the time of a booking request, we reserve the right not to accept your booking if we believe it is either against the law or against the interests of our Park and other campers.  We do not have to prove or justify our reasons for not accepting your booking.

Our promise also means that there are limited circumstances in which we may need to cancel your holiday. Both you, the visitor, and we, The Red Shoot Camping Park, have the right to cancel your holiday, or any full unused days, if the law prevents you from visiting or staying with us, or if Government guidance means you should not stay or visit.  In these cases, from our side, we will always offer you the opportunity to carry your payments forward to a later date, but if this is not possible for you, we will refund your booking in full. Should you need to cancel for a genuine COVID pandemic related reason that is personal to your circumstances and not an obvious Government restriction, we may ask you to provide evidence.  Please call us to discuss as soon as possible and be aware that we can only accept your cancellation for COVID reasons relating to those individuals in the party booking.

If your holiday has started, we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel. We will not charge an administration fee.

Changes to our facilities and services

In order to comply with Government regulations or recommendations, we may make reasonable changes to our facilities and services provided these changes do not materially reduce their quality. Our changes may reflect amendments to relevant laws and regulatory requirements or implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a health and safety risk.

If we make changes to our facilities and services which materially reduce their quality, we will give you the choice between confirming your booking, agreeing new booking dates with us, or cancelling. If your holiday has not started and you are unable to postpone your visit,  we will refund your booking in full. If your holiday has started, we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel.
