Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we can provide you with a voucher to pick up wifi for 24 hours per device, these are available in our shop.  But please be aware that signals of all kinds (internet, mobile, TV) are weak and unreliable here and it was quite a challenge to find a way to get a reliable connection good enough to offer the wi-fi service to our customers.  That’s why some people love it here so much!

Do you have a freezer for my ice packs?

Accepted Answer

No, but we run an ice pack service from the shop.  We charge a deposit of £2.50 per ice pack (refundable when you return the ice pack on your departure) and there is a 50p charge each time you swap for a frozen one.

Can I book a table in the pub?

Accepted Answer

The Red Shoot Inn is a separate business, please call them directly on 01425 541400 to book a table, but remember to take advantage of our fabulous arrangement with them which offers you 15% off all food and drinks for the duration of your visit and as many times as you like.

Do you lock the gate at night?

Accepted Answer

We close the gates, but they aren’t locked.  However, there is an overhead barrier so if you are leaving early in the morning or coming back late at night with a high vehicle, you will need to make an arrangement with us to have this opened for you.  Also, if you are moving around at unsociable hours, please be careful not to disturb other campers.

Do you have electric hook-up facility?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 10amp / 240 volt, suitable for lights and low watt camping electrical appliances, not for domestic appliances!
