We don’t like this bit any more than you do, but it’s necessary to ensure we’re all happy! Please read it carefully.

Admission & Park rules

Admission to the Park implies a commitment to uphold the Park's rules, which set out general standards of conduct and behaviour.

Any person in breach of these rules may be asked to leave the Park with no refund.
-
Management is entitled to refuse admission if deemed necessary, even if a prior booking has been made.
-
We strive to ensure that all campers can enjoy their time with us with the best conditions we can offer.
-
Therefore, we reserve the right to alter your pitch allocation before your arrival without notification.
-
We may also not allow you to stay if your accommodation differs from the specification you reserved.
-
Please double-check your confirmation to ensure your details are correct.

Our season: 1st March to 1st November 2026
Bookings
-
We reserve the right to refuse any booking.
-
Booking requests: Booking requests can be made through our online booking system or by phone.
-
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a detailed confirmation email, including receipt of your payment.

Payment terms: For camping and hut bookings, a non-refundable deposit of £50 per week or part thereof is required when making any booking.
-
The balance is then due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
-
Therefore, if you are booking with less than 6 weeks before your arrival full payment is required at the time of booking.

For bookings in The Byre, we take a security deposit of £150.00 to secure your reservation which is payable in addition to the rental which becomes due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

You will receive The Byre cancellation policy separately.

Unit details and accuracy: Please ensure that you provide accurate details about your unit when you make any booking as your pitch is allocated based on the information you provide.

If your unit details change, you must let us know straight away.
-
If you arrive with a different unit, we may not be able to accommodate you, and your payment will not be refunded.

Group bookings, one-night stays, or bookings within 4 days can only be made by phone, please call us on 01425 473789.

A contract exists between you and The Red Shoot Camping Park as soon as we’ve issued our confirmation and received your payment (including any deposit).

Please check the confirmation carefully to ensure it reflects your booking wishes.

Unit size restrictions
-
For tents, please provide the make and model when booking.
-
Tents that exceed either 7 metres in length or 4 metres in width require oversize pitches which are priced accordingly, you must select the oversize option if you are booking online.

Please don’t hesitate to call us if you are unsure.
-
For caravans or motorhomes, please include the shipping length and awning dimensions.
-
We reserve the right to require removal of sections or ask you to leave if you exceed the dimensions agreed in your confirmation without prior consent.
Cancellation & refund policy for camping and huts
-
Your deposit is immediately non-refundable.
-
If you cancel your booking with more than 28 days before your arrival date, the balance of your payment (minus your deposit) will be refunded.
-
Cancellations made with less than 28 days' notice are non-refundable.
-
You may change your booking dates up to 2 weeks before your arrival to a later date within the same season, subject to availability, with a £10 admin fee.
-
No changes can be made with less than 2 weeks' notice, and we cannot transfer bookings to another season.
-
Changes made within 28 days of arrival will be considered a postponed booking. If you later cancel, no refund will be issued.

Your booking cannot be transferred to another person or party.
-
If you have booked a stay in The Byre, you will receive separate details of our cancellation policy.
Insurance
-
You are strongly advised to have travel insurance in place to protect your payment against unexpected illness or other reasons to cancel.
-
We are not responsible for any issues that prevent you from using your reservation.
Minimum advanced booking
-
Minimum advance booking: 2 nights unless otherwise stated (please see minimums for holiday periods / peak season shown below) or by prior arrangement.
-
Management may allow single-night bookings at their discretion, subject to availability.
Peak period minimum advanced booking
-
Easter Holiday: Minimum 4-nights.
-
May Day Bank Holiday: Minimum 3-nights.
-
Spring & August Bank Holidays: Minimum 5-nights.
-
Mid July / August: Minimum 3-nights (August Bank Holiday arrivals between 26th and 30th August: minimum 5-nights).
Camping arrivals
-
Your pitch is guaranteed to be available from 2pm.
-
The latest arrival time is 7pm, or before dark if earlier.
-
We reserve the right to charge a fee of £20 fee for arrivals after 7pm to protect other campers from the disturbance.
-
All arrivals must check in at Reception before proceeding to your pitch, even if you’ve visited before.
Camping departures
-
Please vacate your pitch by 1pm.
-
Failure to do so will incur a further night’s charge.
-
No refunds are given for early departures.
Hut and Byre arrival and departure times
-
Your accommodation is available between 4pm and 7pm.
-
Departure is by 10am.

Behaviour
-
Foul language, threatening behaviour, or vandalism will not be tolerated.
-
Offenders will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund.
-
Strictly quiet after 10:30pm.
Groups
-
To maintain the tranquillity of the site, the maximum number of units we will site together is 3.
-
We will try to allocate adjacent pitches for up to 3 units when requested, but this is not guaranteed.
-
Only couples and families are allowed.
-
We do not take stag or hen parties and have the right to refuse large groups.
-
Strictly one unit per pitch.
-
Duke of Edinburgh and school groups are accepted out of peak times—please call.

BBQs & fires
-
BBQs are permitted but must be off the ground to avoid damaging the grass (bricks available on site) and use charcoal only.
-
Open fires and wood burning are strictly prohibited.
-
For safety and consistency, in-built wood burners are also not allowed, irrespective of the unit or fuel used, this includes yurts, glamping units, bell tents, and campers.
Cycling & ball games
-
Cycling and ball games are restricted at peak times and are subject to management discretion.

Awning extensions
-
Awning extensions are prohibited at peak times and at other times are allowed by agreement only.
Gazebos/rain shelters
-
Gazebos and rain shelters are not encouraged as they reduce space for other campers.
-
If you want to use one, you must get permission first and pay £10 per night before setting it up.
-
The maximum size for a gazebo is 300cm x 300cm i.e 3 metres x 3 metres.
-
Strictly NO SIDES.
-
We may remove any gazebo/shelter set up without permission.
Generators & air conditioners
Generators and air conditioners are prohibited.
Drones
-
Flying drones on the park is prohibited.
Dogs
-
Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.
-
Dogs must be supervised by a responsible adult (over 18).
-
Do not leave your dog unsupervised in your tent, vehicle, or glamping accommodation.
-
If you do not supervise your dog, we may ask you to remove it from the park.
-
Clean up after your dog and dispose of waste in the grey general waste bins.
-
We sell doggie bags in the shop.
-
Dogs are not allowed in the facilities block, laundry room, or shop.
-
Dogs are not permitted on soft furnishings in our Shepherds huts or The Byre.
We do not accept breeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act, including:

Fila Brasileiro

XL Bully
-
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Mobile & TV reception
-
Mobile phone and TV reception is poor due to our location in the Forest.

We offer Wi-Fi (not suitable for streaming or downloading) for a small daily fee.
Damage disclaimer
-
Whilst we do our best to provide a safe environment for your camping experience, we cannot be held responsible for damage to your property (e.g., tents, cars, caravans, camping equipment), howsoever this arises.
-
We are also not responsible for issues related to the ground surface, (it is your responsibility to check the ground before pitching), trees, animals, birds, or forces of nature such as weather, storms, rain, ice.​

Byre Terms and Conditions

​Cancellation or amendment
If you cancel your booking 6 weeks or more before your expected arrival, all monies will be refunded less a £50.00 per week cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 6 weeks’ (42 days) notice will be refunded on the following scale:

28 > 41 days 75% refund

14 > 27 days 50% refund

0 > 13 days 0 refund
Should you wish to change the dates of your booking, you may do so within the same year and subject to availability up to 8 weeks before your arrival date. Any agreed date changes will incur a £30.00 administration fee.
Insurance
You are strongly advised to have travel insurance in place to protect your payment against unexpected illness or other reasons to cancel, as we do not accept responsibility for you being unable to occupy The Byre.

Booking conditions
When you make your deposit to secure your booking, you are entering into a contract with us which implies a commitment to uphold our rules and care for our property. Should you or any member of your party breach these rules, your party may be asked to leave the property with no refund or compensation.

Security deposit
The security deposit of £150.00 is held to secure your booking and against any damages or breakages whilst you occupy the property. You must keep the property clean and in good order and you will be responsible for any breakages or damage. Provided there are no breakages or damage to the property, this security deposit will refunded in full within 10 days of your departure. We retain the right to vary the security deposit at our discretion.

Payment for your holiday
Full payment (as shown as ‘Total rental’) for your holiday must be made no later than 6 weeks prior to your arrival and this date is shown in the personalised confirmation email sent to you.

Arrival and departure
You may arrive any time between 4pm and 7pm. We respectfully ask that you depart by 10am. It may be possible for you to arrive or leave outside of these times, but this must be agreed with us in advance and further costs may be incurred.
Dogs
We are a dog friendly Park and are happy for you to bring your dogs to The Byre subject to advising us in advance and an additional charge of £4.50 per night per dog. You must ensure that no damage is caused by them to the property and that they cause no disturbance within the surrounding area. Pets must be always supervised and under control, on a lead in the grounds and may not be left unattended at any time. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or in beds. You must always clear up after your dogs and you must remove all trace (inside and in the garden) of your pets having been present before you leave the property. If you do not, we may retain some of your security deposit.
Occupying the property
Your booking of The Byre is for the purpose of a holiday. It is strictly NO SMOKING. For the avoidance of doubt, you may invite friends over to visit, but the number of people in the property must at no time exceed 8, unless you have our prior consent. No-one other than those named in our confirmation email may sleep at the property. Failure to observe this requirement is a serious breach of our rules and may incur penalties. You may not sub-let the property.
Inventory
The inventory is checked prior to your arrival, and you must notify us immediately should you find any errors or shortfalls. This inventory will be checked again on your departure and anything missing will be charged for from your security deposit.
Our entry rights
​We reserve the right to enter the property at any reasonable time provided reasonable notice is given to you, or without notice should there be a suspected breach of our rules or an emergency.
Park rules
The Byre is part of the Red Shoot Camping Park and it is therefore important that the general rules of the Park are upheld and you may read these in full, they are shown above these terms and conditions or by using the link. These rules include:

Cycling and ball games within the Park may be restricted at peak times at our discretion

Dogs must be on a lead at all times and must not foul the site
You are most welcome to use any of the site facilities, such as the laundry room, play area, shop.
Wi-Fi and mobile connection
Please be aware that mobile signals are not good in the New Forest, we do offer a complimentary wi-fi facility for our guests in The Byre, please ask for vouchers on arrival.
